How Long, O Lord? I Mourn and Pray
TALLIS' CANON 8.8.8.8 (All Praise to Thee, My God, This Night)

How long, O Lord? I mourn and pray:
Will you forget me every day?
How long must sorrow fill my soul
And those who hate me have control?

Consider, Lord, and hear my plea
Or death will triumph over me.
My foes will say, "We have prevailed,"
And they'll rejoice that I have failed.

But in your love I'll trust, and then
My heart will soon rejoice again.
For you will save me! I will sing!
Your bounty is a wondrous thing.
